SOLUTION

Upskilling local youth in climate-resilient agriculture, renewable energy, and eco-tourism can develop sustainable livelihoods. Ecosystem restoration efforts, like mangrove planting, can restore the environment, tackling unemployment and migration while promoting harmony with the environment.

CHALLENGE

Lahiripur, a village in South 24 Parganas, is grappling with high dropout rates from education, youth unemployment, and climate change-related issues. Traditional livelihoods like agriculture and fishing are unsustainable, leading to migration to urban areas.
